This workshop will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m at Killeen Mall.  Space is limited and on a first come first serve basis! 
Participants will be eligible to participate in our Killeen Mall “Back to School” Fashion Show on August 6, 2011!
Participants of this workshop become members of the VK Model Group and will be eligible to audition for all upcoming VK’s Talent, Image & Modeling fashion shows!

RUNWAY/MODELING WORKSHOP!
Your guide to proper Runway
Do you want to know how to own the runway?  Do you want to take a photo like a professional model?
Let VK’s Talent, Image & Modeling show you how!  We are offering a one day workshop for ages 7 & Up to enhance your runway and photo posing skills.  Your job as a runway model is to show off the clothing and give the clothing its own life!
Our runway instruction will include:
• Model Stances
• ½ Turns and 2 ½ Turns
• Tease Turn
• Vogue Stance/Turn
• Full Turn
• What is in a Model’s bag
• Fashion Show Choreography
• Mini Fashion Show at the end of the day

Our Judges were blown away by so many great kids in this year’s search!  After all the deliberations and discussions we had to expand our list to include 18 Semi Finalists in the 7-10 and 11-14 year old divisions and we have 17 Semi Finalists in our 15-18 year old division.  Remember voting is still taking place for our Online Viewer’s Choice Winner!  That title is still open to ALL contestants. Get your family and friends to vote for you everyday until July 22, 2011!

The following Semi Finalist will compete on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Killeen Mall.  Our Top 12 Grand Prize Finalists (Top 4 from each division) and our Top 5 Online Viewer’s Choice Finalists will be announced.  All Finalists will participate in a fashion photo shoot at Glamour Shots-Killeen Mall and All Winners will be announced at the Killeen Mall Back to School Fashion Show on Saturday, August 6, 2011.

With over 125 entries in this years model search, our judges are excited to see so many new faces!  We have 10 judges that are working hard together to choose this year’s Semi Finalists.  Those chosen will be contacted via email and/or telephone today and tomorrow to confirm.  We will post our lists when confirmations have been completed.  Thank you!!

VK/DVA Talent Model Search Team

Judging for Grand Prize Winners is underway!!  Thank you to all who entered our 3rd Annual VKs/DVA Talent Model Search.  We are excited to begin the process of choosing the Top 45 Semi Finalists.  Semi Finalists will go on to compete in a live round at Killeen Mall on July 23, 2011. 

Announcement of semi finalists will be made on or around July 5, 2011 right here on the website after all have been confirmed.

VOTING FOR ONLINE VIEWER’S CHOICE WINNER WILL OPEN ON MONDAY, JUNE 27, 2011.

Even if you are not chosen for the semi final round, you still have a chance to win a prize package worth $400!  Time to ask all your family and friends from all over the world to vote for you!  The model with the most votes will become our Online Viewer’s Choice Winner!  We will announce the TOP 5 Viewer’s Choice Finalists on July 23rd! 

Finalists from Grand Prize and Viewer’s Choice will be part of a Fashion Photo shoot with Glamour Shots-Killeen Mall!

Each time you visit the entries for voting, the model order will change.  The system used for this search utilizes a random pattern.  The amount of votes for each model will NOT be visible to the public.  You just have to keep voting to win the title! 

Model entry will END on JUNE 24, 2011 at 11:59 p.m.

Voting for the Online Viewer’s Choice will begin on JUNE 27, 2011 AT 7:00 A.M.

VOTING for the Viewer’s Choice Winner will open on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 7:00 a.m.  Voting will end at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2011. 

Grand Prize Semi Finalists will be selected by a panel of industry professionals and announced on or around July 5, 2011.  Those Semi Finalists will compete on July 23, 2011 at Killeen Mall for Grand Prize Titles. 

Top Five Viewer’s Choice Finalists will be announced on July 23, 2011 during Semi Final Competition.

All Winners will be announced on August 6, 2011 during the Killeen Mall Back to School Fashion Show!!

The Central Texas Premier Summer Event is officially open!  Entry is open for ages 7-18.  Be sure to read the Rules & Regulations for more information.

Three age groups are used 7-10, 11-14, & 15-18.  A panel of judges will choose the Top 45, who will then compete in the live Semi Final Round at Killeen Mall.  A panel of industry professionals will choose our Top 12 Finalist and our Grand Prize Winners.
